Father’s Day at Home

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads everywhere.  The day didn’t turn out the way we planned to for us.  We were supposed to have lunch at our fave Chinese resto after mass but Julia ran a temperature and was feeling really lousy yesterday.  It turned out, her fever was caused by swollen gums.  `

To make up for our postponed date, I called our local restaurant and ordered Hubby’s favorites: crispy pata and sinigang na hipon .  Lunch was superb and we enjoyed it tremendously.  Everyone, except Julia was in high spirits.  Hubby, who is forever patient and understanding didn’t seem to mind at all celebrating at home.

Looking back at yesterday, I realize the striking trait that made me fall in love with him.  SIMPLICITY AND SELFLESSNESS.  He made the most of our situation at hand.  Not even complaining nor fretting.  Come to think of it, this is how he deals with life.  His calm nature and humor is what endeared him to me and the kids.  Even without the frills, the stuff we are acustomed to, Hubby was more content spending the day with us.

So Honey, a heartfelt “thank you and I love you“.  HAPPY FATHER’S DAY TO THE BEST DAD, EVER…
