Confessions of a Shopaholic, the movie

Good news to all Sophie Kinsella fans. The phenomenal chick read, Confessions Of A Shopaholic is now a movie. Yep. You read it right! If you enjoyed reading the novel (as much as I did), then I guess the movie is even more fun. Isla-Fisher-Shopaholic

Starring as our shopping heroine, Rebecca Bloomwood is Isla Fischer (pronounced as ay-la“). The film is said to be directed by P.J. Hogan and is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. In case your wondering, Bruckheimer is behind Hollywood big hits like Bourne Identity, Bourne Ultimatum and of course the TV series CSI.

Now, this I don’t wanna miss. More than the novel being brought to life on the big screen, I sure like to know how good old Jerry B’s gonna pull this off.  Shopaholic will be hitting theaters on February 2009.

  1. Hi Abby! Sorry it’s only now that I remembered you moved to a new home, kung di ka pa nag comment ulit, wala na nakalimutan ko na. my apologies. salamat at di mo nakakalimutan dalawin ako.

I wanna watch that too, pero parang di ko ma-picture na sya si Becky, parang sobrang sophisticated for the role. Well anyway I have to watch out for that, same way as waiting for The Devil Wears Prada dati.

  5. Whoa, it should be a pretty good movie since Bruckheimer is behind it! It’ll be a fun movie…so far I’ve enjoyed most of Kinsella’s books. 🙂
