Pinay Hits Bigtime in UK

Youtube singing phenomenon Madonna Decena, the Filipina who wowed audiences  and judges alike (especially Simon Cowell) on the reality show “British’s Got Talent” has become a prevailing cultural talent in British media today.  Her story is now being featured on TV news programs all over the country.

In her performance on the show, a tearful 33 year old single parent charmed the entire Manchester Theater with her powerful voice.  According to reports, Decena came to the UK in 2006 to study music and has been singing in diffrent clubs.  Her kids, aged 5 and 6 are in the Philippines with their grandparents.  Madonna recently performed in a charity gala at the Opera House, together with singer Joe Longthorne and comic Frank Carson.

Unfortunately, British’s Got Talent isn’t being aired in here but I got a glipse of an episode when Oprah featured Paul Potts, a salesman who joined the show and won everyone over with his powerful rendition of “Nessun Dorma

Anyways, I’ll be cheering for Madonna and really hope that she bags the £100,000 grand prize.  Viva La Filipina !
